Transition Program for 2010 Preps

Term 2 sees the beginning of our school's Prep Transition Program:

STEP INTO PREP!

In the year leading up to Prep, our goal is to give preschoolers and first time families a gradual insight into school life in a non-threatening way. Participating preschoolers will become familiar with the school environment and personnel so school is recognised as an enjoyable experience, one to look forward to! On starting school next year, the Transition Program continues via a carefully structured process enabling our new Preppies to settle into school routines in a relaxed and happy manner, with a growing sense of self confidence and independence. There were NO tears on the first day this year....well perhaps just a few from some sentimental Mums and Dads! Read on for details of our up coming events.....

Our school's Step Into Prep Transition Program begins in May and is open to any families who are considering sending their child to our school in 2010.

1. You are welcome to make a appointment for an informal tour of the school with our Principal Mr Brendon Campbell. Please call Mrs Doherty in the office on 97622510 to arrange a time.

2. Visit us during Education Week!

Tuesday 19th May and Thursday 21st of May

Open classrooms 6-6:45pm

Performing Arts Show 7-8pm

In Term 4 there are six classroom sessions for children who are enrolled at our school for 2010. Parents will receive special notification of dates and time and an outline of the activities. During these more structured sessions, the children will be introduced to other aspects of school life, meet all the teachers and spend time in their 2010 classrooms. The Uniform Shop will be open during these sessions. There is also an evening information session and information pack for parents to compliment the daytime sessions.
